Simon Fires Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and X-Factor Host (In X-Factor Shake Up)

The man who brought X-Factor and American Idol to the U.S has just fired X-Factor judge Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. In what is a major shake up intended to boost ratings and improve the show; Simon also fired the shows host Steve Jones.

Simon Cowell has said a 'massive thank you' to three of his X Factor co-stars who will not be returning to the show for the second season.

The British media mogul released a statement expressing his gratitude to them for their work but confirmed that they were parting ways.

'I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of The X Factor last year,' Simon said.

'We had a lot of fun making the show together. I'm sure all three are going to have massive success in what they do next, but now is the time to thank them all for everything they did last year.'

Meanwhile, Paula released her own statement saying that she totally understood the 'business decision.'

'Simon and I, along with Fox and Fremantle, have been communicating about this for a while now, and I have absolute understanding of the situation. Simon is, and will remain a dear friend of mine.'

I understand why the host was fired and its probably because he was boring, and Paula was probably fired because she has just turned into an incoherent idiot. But I just don't understand why would you fire the only true singer on the show Nicole, who has an amazing voice like Mariah. Nicole also brought a certain style and swag to the panel of old fogies. And you already know she is fly as hell.

Lets see who the new host will be. Rumors are spreading that Mariah might be joining the cast. Mariah Carey was supposed to be on the first season of the show.
