Jay-Z Gets His First Number One Record

Shawn Carter's run as the hottest MC in the game is continuing to seem more and more fitting as he continues to break records and shatter feats with his music. Jay-Z's Blueprint III album was a widespread success and led to him breaking Elvis's record for the most number one albums.
Now Jay's back on the charts with his fourth No. 1 song. This trail to the top is special however, considering that it will be his first No. 1 hit with a song of his own.
“Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys will be the first time Jay tops the chart with a song from one of his albums. He previously topped the charts with his features on Rihanna's “Umbrella”, Mariah Carey's “Heartbreaker” and Mrs. Shawn Carter's “Crazy In Love.”
The song jumped from #6 to the top spot on the charts making that the largest leap to No.1 since Kanye West's “Stronger”.
This is his first No.1 record?! How crazy is that?

50 Cent To Only Sell 160k Units In His First Week

Based on first day sales, 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct is projected to sell between 150,000 and 160,000 units in its first week.
The projection, courtesy of hitsdailydouble.com, prognosticates by far the lowest debut numbers for a 50 Cent album. The rapper's previous three albums - Get Rich or Die Trying' (2002), The Massacre (2004) and Curtis (2007) - debuted at 872,000, 1.15 million and 695,000 uniits sold, respectively.
The album was originally set for release on November 23, but was pushed up to November 16 because it leaked online last month.
Although 150,000 is a solid sales figure in the current industry climate, the number is dwarfed other similarly anticipated Hip Hop releases this year. Eminem's Relapse sold over 600,000 its first week, and Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 moved over 475,000 units in its debut.
Interscope Records, the label on which the album was released, was reached for comment, but hasn't responded.

Miss Universe Contestants in Three-Way Sex Tape
Two former Miss Universe contestants are stealing the sex tape scandal spotlight, after a home video hit the web reportedly featuring Miss Japan 2008 and Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2008 engaged -- fully engaged -- in a hardcore three-way with some dude, reportedly a professional photographer.
Hiroko Mima (Japan) and Anya Ayoung-Chee (T&T) both competed in the 2008 Miss Universe pageant.
TMZ spoke with a rep from the Miss Universe pageant who tells us, "This was apparently eight months after the pageant and neither were the reigning titleholder.

Jennifer Lopez Has Her Ex Under Surveillance?
Jennifer Lopez has her ex-husband Ojani Noa under constant surveillance since he publicized plans to release home videos of their brief marriage, according to his lawyer and manager.
The singer/actress successfully applied for a restraining order against her former partner to prevent him putting footage of their honeymoon in his mockumentary How I Married Jennifer Lopez: the J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story. Earlier this month, the star also launched a $10 million lawsuit against Noa, alleging he had violated terms of a confidentiality agreement he signed in 2005.
Noa slammed his ex after a court hearing where the restraining order was issued, claiming Lopez was "destroying his life" by taking exception to the personal video footage.
Now the Cuban is adamant he is under surveillance by members of Lopez's entourage.
His business manager, Ed Meyer, tells Life & Style magazine, "She's having him followed. We just ran the license plate of the car... and it goes directly back to Jennifer Lopez. Ojani's scared."
And his lawyer, Frank Sanes Jr., adds, "We have some concerns right now about the personal safety of Ojani. We believe he's under surveillance by someone."

Amy Winehouse has been hospitalized again...but this time it doesn't have anything to do with drugs...it has to do with her huge ta-tas.
Wino was admitted to a London medical centre earlier this week to be treated for what was believed to be a leaky booby.
Speaking on his online show 'Mitch Winehouse's Showbiz Rant', Mitch said as he pointed to his chest: "It wasn't because she had a cold. She's fine, she just had a little leaky something or other."
A friend of Wino added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "She saw something oozing out of her top. To see stuff seeping out was horrible."
She paid over $55,000 for those gross implants and they're already leaking? She should ask for a refund.

High School Girls Love Chris Brown
Seems high school kids have a short term memory when it comes to current events -- because Chris Brown was hailed as a conquering hero when he showed up for a b-ball game.
Brown rolled into L.A.'s Cleveland High School for a celeb basketball game sponsored by local radio station Power 106 -- and, shockingly ... no controversy over his appearance. In fact, it was the opposite.
Assistant Principal of Athletics Carlos Valdovinos tells TMZ the students did not have Rihanna on the brain. Everyone acted "as if nothing ever happened."
Valdovinos says the girls "were going berserk." Doubt it? Just watch the video.
